El artista catalán Oaht regresa a SWEAT, “el sello madre”, en sus propias palabras, con un nuevo EP: THE UNKNOAHT, trabajo en el que explora un espacio antes desconocido para él. Donde se alojan vibraciones orgánicas, ecos fruto de la acción de la naturaleza y su voz usada como un instrumento más.
Frente a los drones y paisajes sonoros abrasivos, agobiantes de Viollentsia Divina [SWT009], el horizonte planteado en THE UNKNOAHT se aleja de la hipérbole distópica de la violencia y aterriza en lugares donde la civilización se ha reiniciado.
LEAVES ON EARTH, primer tema del EP, podría servir como pieza de la banda sonora de un blockbuster que narra el reseteo de este mundo.
Esa ventana a la incertidumbre de un futuro incierto -o a un pasado remoto- continúa en WATERBOY. Feel new age, cercano a la visión pop de King Krule.
Cuenta, además, con remixes del artista catalán (y también adscrito a SWEAT) Shoeg, quien nos sumerge en un viaje ambiental hasta abandonarnos a un trance lúcido. El segundo corre a cargo de Lost Twin, productor de C Tangana y de algunas de las mejores referencias de hip hop instrumental de los últimos años. Aquí, mediante el añadido de texturas analógicas y lisérgicas, lleva el track hasta terrenos cercanos al Free Jazz.
TAI GA, otro de los paisajes que evoca THE UNKNOAHT, cuenta con la colaboración de Gothic Sans, de Somos La Herencia. Bosque interminable en el que ambient y post punk se pierden entre sus árboles.

The Catalán artist Oaht returns to SWEAT, “the mother label”, in his own words, with a new EP: THE UNKNOAHT, project in which the artist explores a space formerly unknown to him. Where are living organic vibrations, echoes born by nature’s own actions and his voice used as another instrument.
Facing the drones and the crippling -almost abrasive- soundscapes from VIOLLENTSIA DIVINA [SWT009], the horizon stated in THE UNKNOAHT moves away from the dystopic hyperbole of violence and lands in scenarios where civilization has restarted.
LEAVES ON EARTH, first track of the EP, could be functioning as a piece from a soundtrack of a blockbuster movie, narrating the resetting of that mentioned new world.
This window to the uncertainty of an unclear future -or a remote past- continues in WATERBOY: new age feelings, closed to King Krule’s revolutionary pop vision.
Furthermore, the EP features remixes from the Catalonian artist Shoeg (part of the SWEAT roster), submerging ourselves into an ambient trip and abandoning us in a transcendental state. The second remix, produced by Lost Twin (who has produced for C Tangana and some of the best Spanish hip-hop instrumental records), covers the addition of analog and lysergic textures, pushing the track onto even more close lands to Free Jazz.
TAI GA, another part of landscape from THE UNKNOAHT, features Gothic Sans, from the experimental band Somos La Herencia. A never-ending forest where ambient music and post-punk die into the woods.
